If you can dream it. You can do it.
Haley Nachlas is a New York City- and DMV based artist and true triple threat. While she identifies as a dancer first, Haley is a storyteller at heart as she is passionate about using movement, voice, and emotion to connect with audiences on a soul-deep level.
Originally from a small town in Maryland, Haley’s dance journey began later than most, giving her a unique perspective. From day one, she embraced a mindset of curiosity and openness, learning to leave ego at the door in order to grow. That drive quickly transformed her from a beginner struggling with spacing to a confident leader on her competitive dance team.
Haley went on to attend the prestigious Commercial Dance BFA program at Pace University, where she trained extensively in dance, acting, and voice under an extraordinary faculty and alongside industry professionals. She concentrated her studies in pedagogy, choreography, and performance, honing not just her technical skills but also her artistic voice. During this time, Haley discovered a deep love for collaboration, choreography, and storytelling through movement.
Professionally, Haley has choreographed award-winning competitive dance routines and serves as the leader of a junior dance company, where she mentors and trains young dancers in both artistry and technique. She also works as a performance judge for Nexstar National Talent Competition, offering insightful, encouraging feedback drawn from her years of teaching and performing.
Her performance experience includes regional musical theater productions, NYC gala performances under renowned choreographers, and most recently, roles in Frozen and Senior Class at the Olney Theater Center. Upcoming: Assistant choreographer for “Hello Dolly” at Olney Theatre Center
Haley is committed to her craft, continuing to teach, train, and grow as an artist. Whether in a classroom or on a stage, Haley’s mission is to open hearts through art, inspire movement, and build meaningful connections.
In her free time, Haley loves choreographing, reading, writing poetry, people-watching, and having heart-to-hearts over a caffeinated beverage. She lives by the belief:
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone"
